Hi guys, welcome to SKAH DJ Blog. Just a quick post on set design and facades. I belong to a group on Facebook called Serato 101 where DJs share pictures and stories of their equipment and gear. Members also use it as a platform to buy and sell stuff.
A member of the group put up a post asking members to post pictures of their equipment and gear! DJ John from Nigeria posted the picture below
The setup looks ‘okay’. However, I advised DJ John to make use of a DJ facade to hide the untidy cabling. See below snapshots of our Facebook chat.
I suggested to DJ John to use a DJ facade or a white table cloth with the LED lights underneath. He took the advice and he decided to build his own DJ facade. See below pictures of work-in-progress and the finished product.
Looking at the before and after pictures, I was mighty impressed with DJ John and this motivated me to share the experience. The setup looks very professional. I encourage other DJs to get creative and use tools within their disposal to brighten up their setup to give it a professional look.
