Roland hosted a 24-Hour online music festival tagged “The Future. Redefined. – Unleash Your Creativity -” to mark its 909 day (a celebration of the 33 years of the ‘TR-909’ – a rhythm composer which is partially analog, partially sample-based, drum machine) on the 9th of September. Over 30 products and services were released during the record-breaking, online-streaming launch event. The event featured in 8 major cities around the world starting from Auckland to Tokyo, Paris to Brussels, Berlin to Toronto then New York City and lastly Los Angeles.
Specifically for DJs, 3 new products were released; Roland DJ-808, a DJ controller which we featured a few days ago (click here), DJ -99, a 2 channel DJ battle mixer with innoFader and TT-99, a direct-drive turntable. As well as several other products for musicians, producers, performing artistes amongst others.
